Description of Services
RISE (Reaching Independence through Support and Education) is a poverty prevention initiative aimed at empowering individuals by enhancing life skills, challenging limiting beliefs, and improving decision-making abilities. The program achieves these goals through a combination of weekly classes, individualized coaching, accountability measures, and strong community partnerships. These efforts focus on increasing household income, self-sufficiency, and social capital while reducing isolation among participants.
RISE is introduced to new communities through a collective impact and train-the-trainer model. This works to address how LMI individuals are served and perceived, improves resource distribution by breaking down silos among local organizations, and fosters relationships that build social capital between RISE members and community organizations.
The RISE program begins with a 17-week cohort class and evolves into a multi-year initiative featuring ongoing weekly classes and personalized one-on-one coaching. Communities can implement RISE either through a volunteer team or as part of an established organization. The RISE subscription provides evidence-based curricula, coaching resources, data collection protocols, and comprehensive training to support the program’s success.
